Hollywood Writers Strike

As members of the creative culture, Dave and I are watching the writers strike closely. As content generators, we know that the level of success a project attains lies squarely on the shoulders of the creative people that write, produce, shoot, and edit the filmed entertainment we all enjoy. As business owners, we also understand the shifting economics of the media industry today.

At dinner, I asked Scott, “Do you think someone who writes a Spongebob script should get part of the profits from the show?” He asked, “Shouldn’t that depend on how good a writer he is?”
