Bring Back the Hydrox

7:32 pm Personality

The Wall Street Journal reported today about an effort to convince Kellogg’s to resurrect a cookie that’s been off the market for nearly five years. The Hydrox cookie, which has an uncanny resemblance to the original Oreo, lost its battle with that industry leader back in 2003 when Kellogg’s unceremoniously shut down production.

Do we really need more than one kind of cookie that has two chocolate flavored cookies sandwiching a creamy filling?

Are there any foods or toys that you liked that aren’t available anymore?

What could you do to try and bring it back?

BTW, if you’re yearning for some of you old favorites, try to find them at Candy CrateHometown Candy, or Candy Favorites. All have an extensive collection of retro candy. For another kind of trip down candy memory lane, try The Candy Wrapper Museum.

Wasn’t Hydrox the version of Oreos that all the jewish kids ate because, unlike Oreos, they didn’t use lard? (Unfortunately, unlike Oreos, they didn’t taste very good…)
