50th Anniversary of Legos

50 years ago today, the first Lego kit hit the shelves. Of course, back then there were only a handful of brick shapes (now there are more than 2400) and they were sold as sets of interlocking blocks rather than the 3D puzzles (complete with lengthy instruction booklet) that we buy today.
